Once change requests are submitted, the change process is initiated. The responsible team member can utilize the available tools to track and manage the progress of each request, leveraging various status types to monitor and follow up on changes effectively. Change Request Statuses Managing change requests is a crucial part of keeping your BIM model accurate and up-to-date. To help you stay on top of each request, we've created a simple and intuitive status system: To Do This status indicates that the change request has been received and is awaiting action. It serves as a reminder that the task needs to be addressed but has not yet been started. All new change requests are typically placed in this status until someone is ready to begin work on them. In Progress As soon as you start working on a change request, it moves to the "In Progress" status. This is your way of letting everyone know that the request is being actively worked on. Whether you're reviewing details, making adjustments, or coordinating with your team, this status helps keep things moving smoothly. Done Once the change request has been completed and everything checks out, you can mark it as "Done." This status is your confirmation that the task is fully wrapped up, with the changes successfully integrated into your BIM model. It’s a satisfying moment that signals a job well done. In Archive After a request is marked "Done," it can be moved to the "In Archive" status. This is where completed requests are safely stored, ready for reference whenever needed. Archiving helps you maintain a clear and focused view of current tasks, while keeping a record of all the work you've accomplished. In the Preferences panel, on the Other tab you can toggle “ Archieved changes ” to show/hide Change requests with this status in the list and model Viewer. With these statuses, managing change requests becomes a seamless and reassuring process. Notifications as Statuses Change When a colleague changes the status of a Change Requests, all assigned users and the once receiving copies will get a notification on the new status – keeping everyone updated on the progress.
