Adding a new asset to your building model allows you to keep an updated inventory and ensures that all stakeholders have the most current information at their disposal. Follow these simple steps to add an asset to your building. Steps to Add an Asset Initiate the Process Click the "Create +" button on the Changes & Assets landing page to open the dialog for adding new items. You can also create an  Asset  from the  Asset Tab , by clicking straight in the  3D View . Choose to add a New Asset In the dialog window, you will see two options: ' New change ' and ' New asset '. Click the ' Select ' button under the ' New asset ' card, distinguished by a cube or box icon. Position the Asset Back in the  3D View , navigate to the area where you want to place your asset,  by first selecting a floor  in the  Floor Selector . You'll return to the 3D view of your building model to place the asset. To add the asset to a  general space , use a  left click  in the 3D view. To add the asset to a  specific object ,  right click  on it in the 3D view. The asset will be inserted at the click location. You may continue selecting  multiple spaces and/or objects  which will create  one asset each . Enter Asset Information Once the asset is placed, a form will appear requiring you to fill in the details of the asset. The following fields will be presented: Title : This is a mandatory field where you must provide a name for the asset. Asset ID : An automatically generated Twinfinity ID number that uniquely identifies the asset. Category : Select the required category that the asset falls under. Options include Heating, IT, Ventilation, Cooling, Electricity, Water and Sewer, Fire and rescue, Media, and Entry systems. Type : Specify the type of asset within the selected category. Manufacturer : The company that produced the asset. Model : The model number or identification of the asset. Description : Any additional details that describe the asset. Installation Year : The year when the asset was installed. Maintenance Technician : Choose who is responsible for the maintenance of the asset, with options being Property Owner or Tenant. By ensuring all fields are accurately completed, you will maintain a robust and detailed asset register, which is invaluable for management and maintenance planning. Publish the Asset Click the blue button “ Publish ” to publish your new asset! In this article:
