Prerequisites User must be inside a project in the Project Network. The Original Archive is activated on the portal. There are archive objects in the Original Archive. Import criteria have been created for the Original Archive. Document Transfer Process 1. Document Selection Highlight the documents intended for transfer to the Original Archive. Click "Transfer documents to archive" under the Files tab in the menu ribbon. 2. View Selected Documents The list will showcase the chosen documents from the library, including any potential references. Main documents are aligned to the left, whereas references are indented. 3. Archive Object Selection Archive objects must be selected before transferring documents. The same archive object must be chosen for a document group (main document and its references). Select archive objects by marking the main objects to be transferred and then click [Select Archive Object]. Decide on a specific archive object. If a target folder needs to be selected, click [Select Target Folder] and choose a folder in the ensuing dialogue. 4. Document Group Transfer Only complete document groups can be transferred. Individual main or reference documents can't be sent separately. Duration Note Transferring numerous documents might take some time due to verification processes. Each document (both main and references) is checked for correct content type and existing status in the archive. Failed Transfers Occasionally, documents might fail to transfer to the Original Archive or the chosen destination due to: Document not meeting the established import criteria. The document's content type lacks a counterpart in the receiving archive's document list. The document already resides in the destination but isn't loaned to the current project. The document, while loaned to the project, has been updated in the archive since its loan period. If any document in a group fails to transfer, none of the group's documents will be transferred. Instead, an error message will appear with specifics in the “Error Message” column. Transfer Results Moving a document from the Project Network to the Original Archive means copying the document with its metadata to the chosen folder in the archive object. If a document is returned after being loaned, the new version will replace the old one in the Original Archive. In both scenarios, a new published version (e.g., 1.0, 2.0) of the document in the archive object is always created. In this article:
