When you open the project card, the "Checkpoints" tab is displayed. This shows all the main stages (or phases) of the project and the sub-steps, or checkpoints, that need to be checked off as the project progresses. Each phase of the project may contain one or more checkpoints. The purpose of the checklist is to ensure the quality execution of the project. It ensures that the project activities are carried out in the correct order, providing support to the project manager throughout the project. The "Checkpoints" tab The checkpoints tab comprises the following columns: Name Labeling of the checkpoint or phase. Signed by The system records who marks a checkpoint or phase and then clicks on [Save]. The user's signature is stored along with the date and time when the user saved the changes. N/A Checked when the checkpoint isn't applicable to the specific project (N/A: Not Applicable). Completed Checked for each relevant checkpoint or phase upon completion. Comment Date Entered by the user to indicate the date when a comment was made. Comment Feedback or notes related to a checkpoint or phase. Attached Files It is possible to attach one or multiple files to each checkpoint or phase. Working with Checkpoints To mark a checkpoint or phase as completed, the user clicks the box under "Completed" for the relevant row. If a checkpoint isn't considered applicable, it's marked by ticking the box under "N/A". Changes are saved only when the user clicks on [Save]. Once a phase or checkpoint is marked as completed and the user has saved the change, that row is locked from editing. However, the entire checklist can be unlocked for editing using the [Unlock] button. Checklist information is reflected in the project portfolio or project reports from the system. Note: A phase can only be marked as completed after all its associated checkpoints are marked as "Completed" or "N/A". Attaching a File You can attach one or more files to a checkpoint or phase in the checklist. To do this: Click on the paperclip icon under "Attached Files" for a checkpoint or phase. Open the folder where the desired file is stored. The content of the folder will now appear on the right side of the view. Click on the desired file. In the checklist, the attached file will now appear to the right of the paperclip icon. The file can be removed from the list by clicking on the "X" next to it. Ensuring that each checkpoint is marked and documented effectively is essential for keeping the project on track and ensuring everyone is aligned with its progress. In this article:
