In Projektstruktur, documents follow a structured versioning system that categorizes changes into two main types: minor and major versions. Minor and Major Versions Minor Versions Every change, be it a change in the actual document or its associated metadata, results in a new minor version, e.g., 0.1. This feature ensures a comprehensive history of all modifications made. Major Versions Once a document undergoes final approval, it is assigned a major version, e.g., 1.0. Post-approval, any changes lead to the creation of new minor versions like 1.1 until the document is ready for final approval again, leading to e.g., 2.0. Accessing Version History To view the version history of a document you have permissions to: Navigate to the desired document. Hover over the document's name. Expand the document's ECB (context) menu. Select the [Version history] option. Version History View In the version history view, you'll see all available versions for the document. Each version has a submenu that appears when you hover over its Date and Time: Show Displays the selected version. Restore Creates a new current version based on the state of the selected one, ensuring no prior document state information is lost. Delete Deletes the chosen version. This action is irreversible, and the information is lost permanently. Additionally, there are options to "Remove all versions” and "Remove subversions”. The latter removes all versions that aren't whole versions. Always handle document versions with care in Projektstruktur. Ensure you're familiar with the versioning system and utilize the tools provided for optimal document management. In this article:
