This guide provides detailed instructions on how to utilize the search feature within "Projektstruktur" to locate documents. Whether you are looking for specific metadata, document details, or simply conducting a free-text search, this guide will walk you through the process. Accessing the Document Search Within a project, search for documents via the "Search documents" link located in the quick start field (the left column of the interface). Search Page Overview A text field labeled "Free Text" always appears at the top, allowing the inclusion of a free-text search parameter. If utilized, the search will encompass both the document's content and its metadata. Click the plus symbol to access additional search fields. A dropdown labeled "Select content type" will always appear at the top. Selecting a content type will refresh the page and display fields specific to that content type. An admin-configurable number of search fields may be displayed. Hence, the appearance of the search page may vary depending on the admin's configuration. Note : The search window available at the top right of all project pages also facilitates free-text searching within the project. Common Search Parameters Final Approval : Search for either finally approved documents or those that aren't. Options: Yes/No. Public Redline : Search for documents with a public redline or without. Options: Yes/No. Title : Search by the title of a document. Created : Search for documents based on their creation date. An end date can also be specified to find documents within a specific date range. Name : Search by file name. This also searches parts of a filename; the full name isn't required. Document Modified By : Search for documents modified by a specific person. Input their username. Document Created By : Search for documents created by a specific person. Input their username. Click on the magnifying glass to complete your search. Search Results Customization : The columns displayed in the search results are configurable. An admin can specify which columns should appear. Note : The top right corner displays when the search index was last updated. It's updated continually, ensuring new documents become searchable soon after storage or updates. Searching Documents by Product On the main project network page, there's a link in the quick start field named "Search documents." This searches all projects in the project network. Note : This tool functions similarly to the above "Search documents within project" section. The search function does not work for projects with the status "Archived"; only an Admin can search for archived documents. See the chapter "Searching documents in archived projects" in the Admin manual. Note : The search window available at the top right of the main project network page also supports free-text searching across all projects. In this article:
