The Graphics Settings section of the Twinfinity Viewer is designed to optimize your visual experience and performance. This guide will assist you in understanding and adjusting the settings to achieve the best balance between quality and performance for your hardware.

### Hardware Scaling

- **Functionality:** Adjusts the rendering resolution.
- **Options:** A slider with seven steps ranging from 'Quality' to 'Performance'.
  - **Quality:** Renders a larger image and downscales it to fit the screen, resulting in crisper graphics at the cost of performance.
  - **Performance:** Renders a smaller image and stretches it to fit the screen, boosting performance with a potential decrease in visual fidelity.

### Line Shader

- **Toggle:** Switches the line shader on or off.
- **Line Thickness:** Adjustable from 0.1 to 1.
  - **Functionality:** Changes the thickness of lines in the rendering, allowing for clearer distinction of edges and boundaries.

### SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion)

- **Toggle:** Enables or disables SSAO, adding depth and realism by simulating ambient occlusion.
- **Strength:** Adjustable from 0.1 to 1, affecting the intensity of the SSAO effect.
- **Blur Size:** Selectable options are 8, 16, 24, or 32, determining the area of the blur effect.
- **Blur Radius:** Adjustable from 0.1 to 1, defining the reach of the SSAO blur.
- **Samples Count:** Options are 16, 32, or 48, specifying the number of samples used in calculating SSAO, impacting the smoothness and quality of the effect.

### Backface Culling

- **Toggle:** Turns backface culling on or off.
  - **Functionality:** When enabled, only the front-facing surfaces of models are rendered. This can improve performance by not rendering faces of objects not visible to the camera.

### Framerate Indicator

- **Toggle:** Activates or deactivates the display of the current framerate.
  - **Functionality:** Provides a visual indicator of how smoothly the application is running, which can be a helpful diagnostic tool for adjusting graphics settings.

### Adjusting Graphics Settings

1. **Accessing Settings:** Navigate to the 'Graphics Settings' section within the application's settings menu.
2. **Toggles:** Click on the toggle switches to enable or disable features.
3. **Sliders and Selectors:** Use the sliders to fine-tune settings like line thickness and SSAO strength, or select from the available options for blur size and sample counts.
4. **Testing Changes:** After adjusting a setting, observe the effect on the model view. High-quality settings will enhance visuals but may reduce performance, while lower settings can improve performance if needed.
5. **Finding Balance:** Experiment with different combinations of settings to find the perfect balance that suits your needs and your system's capabilities.
