Under the **Project Settings**, a variety of overarching settings are managed, divided into three main categories: **Project Information**, and **Project Roles**. All settings within this tab are accessible via the reporting tool.

### Project Information

- **Project Name**: Must be unique.
- **Project Number**: Duplicates can exist within the portal. Can include both numerical and alphabetical characters.
- **Description**: A brief overview of the project.
- **Project Type**: Specifies the type of project it's created from. This can't be changed afterward.
- **Status**: Represents the project's status within the portal. Also, see project status.
- **Main Project**: Summarizes economic data from included sub-projects.
- **Estimated Start Date**: Determines the years for which project economics is managed in the project.
- **Estimated End Date**: Displayed in the Project Portfolio. Governs the years for which project economics is handled.


### Project Roles

- **Organizational Affiliation**: Indicates which organization owns the project.
- **Project Owner**: The owner can access information in the activity plan and project card.
- **Project Manager**: The project manager has administrator rights within the project.
