As a product and portal-level administrator, you have access to a special feature that allows you to perform bulk changes of user permissions across multiple projects or archives simultaneously.

### How to Use the Manage User Permissions Feature:

1. **Access the Product Start Page**:
  - Navigate to the start page of the product (Project Network/Original Archive).
2. **Select Manage User Permissions**:
  - Choose "Manage User Permissions" in the "Users" section under the "Administration" tab in the ribbon area.
3. **Permission Action**:
  - You have the capability to add, replace, or remove permissions for multiple users at once. These changes apply to the product object (project/archive) displayed in the "Selected Projects" box.
    - **Add Permissions**: This will append the selected groups and profiles to the existing permissions.
    - **Replace Permissions**: This will overwrite the current permissions with the selected groups and profiles.
    - **Remove Permissions**: This removes the selected groups and profiles from the current permissions.
  - To maintain settings at the product or product object level and profile level, check the box "Retain Current Settings".
4. **Search for Users**:
  - Enter part or the entire username, first or last name, company name, or email address.
  - To search among all portal users, check the box "Search All Portal Users".
  - To list all users, leave the field empty.
  - The search results will appear below the search field.
5. **Select Users and Assign Permissions**:
  - Mark the users you wish to apply the selected action to.
  - Choose the product-level group for the users.
  - Choose the product object-level group for the users.
  - Select the profiles to be assigned to the users.
  - Click [Add].
  - *Note*: Profiles in italics mean that the profile doesn't exist in all selected projects.
  - To retain previous permissions (i.e., make no changes at this level), check the box "Maintain Current".
6. **Review and Modify Selections**:
  - The above steps can be repeated to assign different permissions to different users. Each user will be added to the result view below.
  - To undo a user's selection, click on the cross icon at the far right of the user's row.
  - To remove all selections, click on the cross icon at the top right of the header.
7. **Execute Permission Assignments**:
  - Click [Complete].
  - The system will start updating the selected users on the selected product objects.
  - *Note*: The time taken for this process varies depending on the number of users and product objects.
