Creating a new user on our platform is straightforward. This guide provides you with step-by-step instructions on how to add a new user and set up their permissions effectively.

1. **Creating a User**:
  - Navigate to "Users" in the "Administration" tab.
  - Click "Create" in the menu area.
  - Fill out the user information. Fields marked with a * are mandatory and must be completed.
2. **Company Association**:
  - Choose the company to which the user should be affiliated. If the company is not in the list, click "Add Company".
3. **Assigning Permissions**:
  - **Product-Level Permissions**: If you have portal or product-level admin rights, you can assign roles such as "Portal Administrator", "Product Administrators", "Product Reader", and "Product Writer".
    - **Product Administrator**: Complete access throughout the portal.
    - **Product Administrators**: Full permissions in all projects under the Network.
    - **Product Writer**: Can initiate new projects and will be the administrator for projects they create.
    - **Product Reader**: Read access to all projects.
  - Assign specific projects by clicking "Add Project" and selecting the desired projects. If you're using the add user feature within a project, the current project will be at the top.
4. **Project Permissions - Profiles**:
  - Every user needs project permissions. Profiles dictate permissions for each project folder (none, read, or write).
  - To add profiles, click on the project name or the small arrow next to it. You can then add new profiles by clicking "Add Profile".
  - Available Profiles:
    - **Administrators**: Full access in the entire project.
    - **Project Owner**: Can view Project Card and Project Economics but cannot access document folders.
    - **Other Profiles**: Depending on project configuration, these users have read/write permissions in the folders they're allowed to see.
