In our platform, tailoring the approval steps for a specific project is made easy. However, it's essential to note that a project's approval steps can only be modified when there are no documents in its approval flow.

### **Steps to Set Approval Phases**:

1. **Navigate to Your Project**: Start by accessing the desired project.
2. **Menu Selection**: Opt for "Manage approval steps" located within the Menu tab area.
3. **Define New Step**: In the provided field, key in the name of the new approval step you intend to introduce.
4. **Shift Step to Right Field**: After inputting the step name, click the arrow icon (>>) to move this new step to the right-hand side field.
5. **Color Coding**: As you generate approval steps, each is linked with a distinct color. This coloration aids in visualizing a document's approval journey, letting users swiftly discern its current phase.

> ℹ️ Users can introduce a maximum of nine different approval steps for a single project. Ensure to plan these steps to best match the project's requirements.
